My specialty is bird paintings but I do not limit myself to that. I paint landscapes "En Plein Air" and take commissions from around the world. The mediums I use are watercolor, oil, color-pencil, acrylic, what ever gets the job done to give me the special look I want. I greatly enjoy digital restoration of antique photographs and manipulations to make family collages. Living in Texas means I paint bluebonnet landscapes of the beautiful hill country located in the central area of our state in the spring. I spend several weeks painting bluebonnets on location and once I am done I don't paint any more of them until the next spring.
I got my start in architecture drawing renderings of homes for Southern Living Magazine and a few other publications, through an architecture firm. Recently I have gone back to my roots and began painting small format art of Row Houses; those little two and three story dwellings you can find in New Orleans. I am self taught after 30 plus years of discovery and blessings, I try to give something back by using my art as therapy for Alzheimer patients.
